Boom and Zoom

Boom and Zoom

Boom and Zoom had another good jumpout today. She went around without her blinkers (we are saving them for raceday) so she settled at the rear of the field and worked through the middle of the other horses around the turn to run 2nd. She pulled up good and is on track to race on the 13th of July at Moruya.

800m – 47.14, last 600m – 34.49.

Boom and Zoom

Boom and Zoom has come through her jumpout great. She is eating and working well and she looks so much physically stronger than last prep. She will have a second jumpout on the 1st of July.

The video below is her gallop this morning:

Boom and Zoom

Boom and Zoom performed well in her jumpout this week. She was not asked to do much and was strong to the line under a hold. It was a much better performance than her first jumpout last preparation.

800m – 47.35, last 600m -34.30

She will have another jumpout on 1st of July

Boom and Zoom

Boom and Zoom started 3/4 pace last week and she is building her fitness quickly. We are aiming to have her ready for a jumpout on the 17th of June.

Boom and Zoom put in a tremendous effort at Canberra over the weekend so she went to the paddock this week for a freshen up. She will start trackwork again on Monday.

We are planning on stepping her up to 1400m next start. If she is ready to step up in time for Nowra on the 29th of March she will race then but if she needs some extra time, she will go straight to Moruya on Cup day 12th of April.

Boom and Zoom

Boom and Zoom is racing at Canberra on Sunday 8th of March in the Federal $40K Maiden over 1200m (Race 4 at 3:15pm). Shaun Guymer is booked to ride her again.

She has drawn a wide gate but we have been very pleased with how she is working in the lead up to this race and we think she has a good chance. Her final gallop on Wednesday morning was strong (video above) and she could be feeling any better.

Boom and Zoom

Boom and Zoom has pulled up great from her good run at Canberra last week. She did some 3/4 pace this morning and she will be nominated to race again in the $40K Country-only Maiden at Canberra on the 8th of March.

Boom and Zoom, Icksta

We are into our second week back at work since the bushfire evacuation and Boom and Zoom galloped with Icksta this morning (click above for video). Both horses worked well and have remained quite fit during their short break in the paddock. Both will have a jumpout on Thursday morning and then look to race the the Bega carnival on the 1st or 2nd of February.

Boom and Zoom

Boom and Zoom had a good jumpout this morning at Moruya (video above). She finished off well in the straight and is on track to race at Moruya on the 6th of January.

Boom and Zoom

Boom and Zoom had her first gallop for the prep this morning in preparation for the jumpouts on Christmas Eve. She is holding her weight very well and she looks a lot more solid since her spell.

Boom and Zoom

Boom and Zoom is working towards a jumpout on the 24th of December. She is doing her 3/4 pace easily and will be ready to step up to some galloping at the end of next week.

Boom and Zoom

Boom and Zoom stepped up to 1/2 pace last week and she will start 3/4 pace on the grass track on Tuesday morning. She is coming along well and building her fitness. The video above is her walking off the track on Saturday morning after doing 1/2 pace 1000m. She has grown since her last prep and she looks stronger and more mature now.

Boom and Zoom

Boom and Zoom is back at the stables and has been cantering this week. She looks like she enjoyed her break and she has settled back into the stables well.

Boom and Zoom is enjoying her last week in the paddock. She will return to the stables at the beginning of next week to resume training.

Boom and Zoom

Boom and Zoom has gone to the paddock for a few weeks following her run at Moruya on Friday. She had a messy race, jumping awkwardly and racing with her head in the air for the first half of the race. She received a bump around the turn and wasn’t able to finish off after such a torrid run. An audio report from her jockey is below:

She has settled into the paddock well and zooms around like a lunatic at feed time. We will see how she is in three weeks and assess if she needs longer or can return to the stables.

Boom and Zoom

Boom and Zoom has been training on well since her second place run at Moruya. She is nominated to race on Friday in the 1200m Maiden at Moruya.

She is a tough filly who has now had six starts in her first preparation but keeps eating and working well.
