Boomahnoomoonah continues to do well at home in her trackwork and her attitude. She wore the blinkers for the first time this morning doing her slow work and she will gallop in them tomorrow with the aim of wearing them at Sapphire Coast on the weekend. She is nominated for both days, 1600m on Saturday and 1400m on Sunday. We would like to try her over the longer distance this prep but will pick the best race for her. The fields will be published on Thursday morning.

Boomahnoomoonah and Dragons Breath had jumpouts at Moruya this morning over 800m. They were in the same heat. Boomah has the rider with the yellow vest, pink cap, leading in the video below. Dragons Breath has the rider with the pink vest sitting in 3rd in the video below.
Boomahnoomoonah loaded into the barriers well and stood quietly in the gates. She mustered quickly on jumping and controlled the race, sitting in the lead. When the other runner came up on her outside, they were strong to the line together and ran the fastest time of the day over the 800m distance.
Dragons Breath was a bit nervous in the gates but he jumped quickly and was first one out. His rider asked him to settle in behind Boomah (for education) and when he did, he spat the bit out and didn’t want to try as much. It is good we now know that he prefers to be allowed to roll freely and not be restrained too much so we can race him that way this prep.
They both pulled up good after their heat. We will see how they eat up overnight and how they are moving tomorrow before locking in a plan going forward.
If Boomah is ready, there is a $40K Country only Maiden at Gundagai on the 13th or a 3YO 1000m Maiden at Kembla Grange on the 14th. These options are only a week away so if she needs more time, we will jump her out again and go to the much easier Maiden at Sapphire Coast on the 30th.
Dragons Breath needs to barrier trial before he is allowed to race so if he recovers quickly from today, we will trial him on the 15th at Canberra. If he needs more time, we will take him to Canberra on the 27th.
Boomahnoomoonah and Dragons Breath have been progressing through their pace work very well. They are both aiming to jumpout on the 6th of November. The video above is their 3/4 pace on Tuesday.

Boomahnoomoonah continues to impress this time in. She is powering her way through her pace work and should be ready for a jumpout on the 6th of November. She is stronger and more confident this prep and we are looking forward to getting her back to the races.
Boomahnoomoonah is back at the stables. She looks bigger and stronger than last prep and has already done some pre-training so she will be able to start pace work at the end of the week. Click above for video update.
Boomahnoomoonah has pulled up great after her barrier trial. She was moving well during her canter this morning and we plan to press on to her first race start.
The photo below is her in the race day stalls at Goulburn waiting for her trial.

Boomahnoomoonah had her second jumpout at Moruya this morning (video above). She jumped out much faster this time and is now ready to go to the barrier trials. We will nominate her for the trials at Goulburn on the 29th of May.
Boomahnoomoonah continues to impress in her trackwork. The video above is her gallop this morning. She is on the inside of Train the Brave.
Kuna Magic and Boomahnoomoonah had their first jumpout at Moruya this morning (video above). Boomahnoomoonah was slow out of the gates but otherwise both girls did very well. They are both galloping great once they are up and rolling.
We will see how they recover over the next few days but Kuna Magic could probably go to the barrier trials off today’s performance if she pulls up well. Boomahnoomoonah will need to have another jumpout on the 20th of May to ensure she is getting out of the gates fast enough to pass her barrier trial.
Train the Brave took Boomahnoomoonah through her 3/4 pace work this morning (Train the Brave is on the outside in the video above).
Boomahnoomoonah is coming along very good and it was great to see her pick up the bit and finish off to the line this morning. We are planning on jumping her out next week.
Train the Brave is nominated for Sapphire Coast on Sunday. He will have a sprint up on Thursday morning.
Kuna Magic and Boomahnoomoonah started 3/4 pace on the grass track this week. The video above is from Tuesday morning. They both pick up their speed well but they are still learning how to balance up, especially as they travel around the corner.
They will continue to build up their pace work over the next couple of weeks as they work towards a jumpout.
Boomahnoomoonah is coming along great since arriving at the stables a couple of weeks ago. She is very sensible and has been working around the track well. She will do another week of cantering before we start stepping up to some pace work. Click above for video update.
