Gossip is going great as she heads towards her first 1600m race at Sapphire Coast on Sunday. She has never looked better in her coat and she has been very fresh at trackwork. She will have one more gallop before Sunday and if she can finish off like she did last start, she should run well.
Gossip is racing at Moruya on Thursday in Race 3 at 1:45pm (Class 1 1425m).
Shaun Guymer is riding her and she has barrier 11. We are very happy with how she has been working since her last race. She had a gallop on Monday with Sarzana and she went to the river this morning (video above). The race is not very strong so we are expecting her to have a good performance.

Gossip is entered to race at Canberra on Friday (Race 7 at 5:55pm). She has Jess Taylor riding (55kg) from barrier 8. We are happy with how she has been working heading into the race. Click above for video update.
Gossip is entered to race at Moruya on Monday in the BM58 over 1425m (Race 6 at 4:45pm). She has the widest barrier but with her racing pattern of settling, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. She had a good sprint up on Friday and we expect to see her finishing off strong.
Gossip returns to the races on Monday at Canberra (Race 4 at 3:10pm). She has Shaun Guymer on and she drew barrier 5.
We have taken her blinkers off for this start and it is not an overly strong field so we are expecting an improved performance.
The video of her final gallop on Wednesday is above.
Gossip has pulled up well from her race at Moruya. We are going to take the blinkers off for her next start and plan to race her at Canberra on the 9th of March.
Gossip ran a good jumpout this morning at Moruya, finishing second in a slick heat (video above). It was especially good to see her finishing off strong. We will nominate her for Wagga next Thursday (13th February) in the Class 1 1200m.
Gossip will have a jumpout next week before she goes racing. Her recent gallops have not been as strong as we would like heading into a race and we think a jumpout will sharpen her up.
Fantini and Gossip had their first gallop since their short break in the paddock this morning (video above – Gossip on the outside). Fantini worked strong to the line and will aim to race at Sapphire Coast on either the 1st or 2nd of February.
Gossip worked good but she is heavily in season this week and is having trouble focusing. We will gallop her a couple more times before she goes racing.
Gossip successfully passed her barrier trial at Canberra on Sunday. The video replay can be viewed at this link
She worked steadily and finished off well and the trial was run in good time.
She has pulled up a little jarred up on the hard Canberra track so she is just taking it easy for a few days walking and at the river.
We had planned to back her up to race on Sunday but she had a very long float trip home from the trial after the highway was closed due to bush fires. She will instead aim to race at the Moruya Cup meeting on the 6th of January.
Gossip passed her ECG test last week and is allowed to barrier trial. We had planned to trial her at Nowra on Sunday but the bush fires have closed the roads heading North and West from Moruya so we will aim to trial her at Canberra on the 15th, assuming the fire situation improves by then.
She had a good gallop with Icksta this morning. She is on the inside in the video above.
Gossip is back at the stables after a short two week break in the paddock. She pulled up with cardiac arrythmia at Sapphire Coast at the end of October. She looks like the short break has done her good, her summer coat has come through and she will be resuming pace work this coming week. She will need to trial before she races again.
Gossip is racing on Thursday at Sapphire Coast (Race 4 at 3:45pm). She has barrier 6 and Shaun Guymer will be riding. She had her final sprint up on Tuesday morning with Sarzana who will be in the same race. Gossip is on the inside in the video above. Gossip had Sarzana covered in the gallop on Tuesday but we expect both horses to perform well tomorrow. Sarzana will sit near the front and Gossip will settle and work home.
Gossip had a jumpout at Moruya this morning to sharpen her up as she heads towards her next race at Sapphire Coast on the 31st of October. She finishes 1st in the video above, her rider is wearing an orange vest and white cap.
They worked over the 800m in 49.43 and the last 600m in 35.54. She hit the line well off a slow early tempo.
Gossip had an easy gallop this morning on the course proper (video above). She doesn’t work very hard when she is on her own but really switches on with a mate and the blinkers. She will go to the river tomorrow as we work towards Sapphire Coast on the 31st of October.
Gossip is ready to make her return at Moruya on Friday in the BM58 1200m. She had a good gallop with No Emotion on Friday and we are looking forward to having her back at the races.
Below is a short video update and a video of her at the river this week (she is at the back).
Gossip started 3/4 pace on Tuesday morning and is coming along well. Click above for a video update on her progress.
Gossip is back at the stables, following a short break in the paddock. She has done a week of cantering and the cut on her leg has healed up very well. She will be able to resume pace work towards the end of the week.
Gossip had her first trip to the river this week (she is the second horse in the video above). She kicked the fence last weekend and took some skin off her leg but the salt water at the river has cleaned it up and she pace worked well this morning (Saturday).
She is still aiming to race again at Goulburn on the 2nd of August.
