I Am Bolt

I Am Bolt

I Am Bolt had a successful jumpout at Moruya this morning (video above). After his disappointing first up race performance, we wanted to jump him out to make sure he was right before starting him again. He went around to the gates without incident, loaded well and jumped cleanly. He fought his rider, throwing his head up for a few strides when he was asked to come back between the other two runners on either side of him but he settled and travelled well to the line, winning the heat.

We will see how he is over the next few days but we are planning to race him at Goulburn on the 7th of February.

I Am Bolt

I Am Bolt has been consistently working well at trackwork for a more than a week now so we are ready to try him at the jumpouts tomorrow. He will aim to get to the barriers very calmly and quietly and see if he gallops more controlled and balanced, like he has been in trackwork.

I Am Bolt

I Am Bolt returns to the races to start this prep in the BM58 over 1010m at Moruya on Monday (Race 5 at 3:20pm). He will be ridden by Shaun Guymer from barrier 3.

He did his final sprint up on Wednesday morning (video above). We have been very happy with his jumpouts and his trackwork gallops going into this race. He has a good barrier but we don’t anticipate him being able to lead this field as there is a lot of early speed. We plan to be positive from the gate and take up a position in the first four from the start. We think he is a good each way chance on Monday.

I Am Bolt

I Am Bolt had his second jumpout for the prep at Moruya this morning (video above). We asked his rider to give him a good hit out and he finished off great in first place over the line.

He is aiming to race at Moruya on the 4th of January.

I Am Bolt

I Am Bolt had a good jumpout this morning at Moruya. He is in the pink colours on the outside in the video above. He wanted to get charging but came back to the rider when asked in the middle stages of the run. He was strong in the finish, taking the lead as they crossed the line.

He will have a second jumpout on the 16th of December and is aiming to race at Moruya on Cup Day on the 4th of January.

I Am Bolt

I Am Bolt had his first trip to the river this week (closest to the camera in the video above) and he loved it. He has his first start for our stable in race 1 at Moruya tomorrow.

I Am Bolt

New arrival, I Am Bolt had his first jumpout at Moruya this morning (video above). He was very good in the gates and travelled nicely the whole way. He got a little tired right at the end but we asked his rider not to overdo it today. They ran a good time and we are very pleased with how he is going. He is nominated to race at Moruya next Tuesday (1st of September).

I Am Bolt

I Am Bolt has settled in great. He is working well and he is an eating machine. He had a foot abscess come out at the end of last week, causing him to miss a couple of days cantering but he is fine now. He is ready to start some 3/4 pace tomorrow morning.

I Am Bolt

This week we welcomed I Am Bolt to the stables. He is an 3 year old, I Am Invincible gelding that was previously trained by the Snowdens. He has only had two race starts for a 3rd at Canberra. He settled in well and has started cantering (video above).
