Gossip is racing on Thursday at Sapphire Coast (Race 4 at 3:45pm). She has barrier 6 and Shaun Guymer will be riding. She had her final sprint up on Tuesday morning with Sarzana who will be in the same race. Gossip is on the inside in the video above. Gossip had Sarzana covered in the gallop on Tuesday but we expect both horses to perform well tomorrow. Sarzana will sit near the front and Gossip will settle and work home.
Boom and Zoom is back at the stables and has been cantering this week. She looks like she enjoyed her break and she has settled back into the stables well.
Abundance has started pace work and is coming along great. He did 3/4 pace on the course proper yesterday for the first time and he was confident and travelling into the bit. He is a lovely horse to work with and he seems to be building his fitness quickly.
Airfree is churning out the laps each morning building up her fitness after her two month spell. She has slotted straight back into the stables and is coming along great.
Gossip had a jumpout at Moruya this morning to sharpen her up as she heads towards her next race at Sapphire Coast on the 31st of October. She finishes 1st in the video above, her rider is wearing an orange vest and white cap.
They worked over the 800m in 49.43 and the last 600m in 35.54. She hit the line well off a slow early tempo.
Sarzana had a solid jumpout this morning at Moruya. She finishes 2nd in the video above, her rider is wearing an orange vest and white cap. She wore the tongue tie for the first time and finished off much better so she will now wear it when racing. They worked over the 800m in 46.60s and the last 600m in 34.03.
Sarzana is aiming to race at Sapphire Coast on the 31st of October.
Fantini joined our stables last week and has settled in very well. She is eating great and she and her neighbour Resort have become best mates. She has started cantering on the track and the video above is from this morning (she is on the outside).
Resort and Chairman’s Choice galloped together this morning in preparation for Canberra races on Friday (video above, Chairman’s Choice is on the outside). Both horses worked well to the line and have really picked up in their training heading into this next race. The race fields will be published tomorrow.
No Emotion had his final hit out this morning before he races at Canberra on Friday (he is on the outside, rider in orange, in the video above). He worked to the line nicely with Shrug under a tight hold.
We welcomed our new horse Legislation to the stables this week. He has settled in great and a video of his first day on the track is above. He has been in full work so he should be ready to go racing in only a few weeks. There are still places available in his ownership, please email firstname.lastname@example.org if interested.
Boom and Zoom is enjoying her last week in the paddock. She will return to the stables at the beginning of next week to resume training.
Congratulations to all of Pauper’s owners! He made it back to back wins at Nowra on Sunday with an impressive finish in the Class 1 over 1200m. Patrick Scorse gave him another great ride and Pauper showed he has developed into a serious racehorse.
He has pulled up great and ate up overnight. A video of him this morning is below.
Resort had a good gallop on Monday morning (video above). His work has improved and we are happy to go racing again but it has been a month since his last run so rather than race over 2000m on Thursday, we will take Resort to Canberra next Friday in the Federal BM70 1600m (country only horses).
Heavenly Thunder had a good gallop on the course proper this morning (video above). She is entered to race at either Randwick on Saturday (but will probably be balloted) or Nowra on Sunday.
Little Shrug had a nice gallop this morning on the course proper (video above). She has come through her last race very well and has shown a lot of resilience even though she is a young filly. She will aim to race again at Sapphire Coast on the 31st of October.
Icksta has settled back into stable life very well. The video above is him returning from trackwork this morning.
Sarzana is back from her short freshen up in the paddock. She had a gallop on the course proper this morning and her rider reported that she worked very strong to the line (video above). Her poor race performances have been a mystery so we are hoping the break will bring her back to her best.
Gossip had an easy gallop this morning on the course proper (video above). She doesn’t work very hard when she is on her own but really switches on with a mate and the blinkers. She will go to the river tomorrow as we work towards Sapphire Coast on the 31st of October.
No Emotion had an easy gallop on his own on the course proper this morning (video above). He will be nominated for Canberra next Friday.
Our recent arrival, Ingeegoodbe, had a good gallop this morning on the course proper (on the outside in the video above). He is entered to race at Royal Randwick on Saturday (Everest Day) in the BM78 over 2000m.
