Living Doll

Unfortunately, the track was too wet to race Living Doll at Kembla on Saturday so we will nominate her for Nowra on Sunday the 17th of February.

Pinch River

Pinch River has settled in very well and has now done nearly two weeks of slow trotting and cantering and trail rides. He had a long spell so he will do at least 4 weeks of slow work before staring pace work.

Sarzana

Sarzana has pulled up well from her last race and she did some 3/4 pace on Saturday morning (video above).

She will aim to race again at Canberra on the 22nd or Nowra on the 25th of February.

Lincoln Cash Man, Ollie the Third

Lincoln Cash Man has improved with each pace work over the past fortnight and he was strong to the line on Tuesday morning when he worked with Airfree (video above). They worked from the 1000m mark in the following sectionals:

17.04, 15.23, 14.15, 11.57, 11.49

Lincoln is entered to race at Sapphire Coast on Saturday. He went to the river on Wednesday for a recovery session (photo below – notice the photo bombing fish in the top left corner).

Ollie the Third also galloped on Tuesday morning in preparation for racing on the weekend at Sapphire Coast (Sunday). He worked with Resort over 1000m (video below) and they ran the following sectionals:

17.22, 16.23, 15.06, 11.59, 11.17

Ollie marched straight into the river on Wednesday morning even though it has been six months since he was last there (photo below – leading).

Sarzana

Sarzana is ready to tackle a Class 1 at Sapphire Coast on Saturday following her maiden victory at Moruya last week. She galloped with The Amazing Tahlia on Tuesday (video above) and she was strong to the line running the following sectionals:

15.41, 14.48, 12.73, 10.95, 11.32

Sarzana will step up in distance to 1400m this start.

Airfree

Airfree is ready to race at Sapphire Coast on Sunday after her gallop with Lincoln Cash Man on Tuesday morning (video above). Both horses worked really well and they came home in the following sectionals:

17.04, 15.23, 14.15, 11.57, 11.49

She went to the river on Wednesday morning (video below). She likes to follow the other horses when she is wading in the river and we think she has figured out if she stays in another horses wake it is easier to walk than if she has to break through the water herself.

Resort

Resort is entered to race in the Sapphire Coast Cup on Sunday at Bega.

He had a solid gallop with Ollie the Third on Tuesday morning (video above) and they worked home in the following sectionals:

17.22, 16.23, 15.06, 11.59, 11.17

Resort went to the river for a recovery session on Wednesday (video below) and he will have a sprint up on Friday.

Living Doll, Malachi Crunch

Living Doll and Malachi Crunch galloped together on Thursday morning (video above).

They worked from the 1000m mark in the following sectionals:

16.82, 15.71, 14.67, 11.78, 11.51

Living Doll is planning on racing at Kembla Grange on the 9th and Malachi Crunch is aiming to race on the 5th, also at Kembla Grange.

Pauper

Pauper continues to build his fitness by cantering on the track each morning. He went on his first trail ride on the bush track on Thursday morning (video above). He was a bit nervous and kept looking behind him to check he wasn’t being followed but he was well behaved and will be much more relaxed next time.

He has been enjoying a sun bake during the day (horse on the right in the photo below) and is always hungry.

Georgian Court

Georgian Court had her final gallop on Tuesday morning before heading to Sapphire Coast on Saturday (video above). They have been getting quite a bit of rain at Bega, which should suit her perfectly. She is dropping back to 1600m and has been kept fresh since her last start.

Minnie Malachi

Minnie Malachi’s first jumpout ended in a bit of a mishap on Tuesday morning.

She was brilliant in the race day stalls (photo above) and good going up to the start. When she was behind the barriers, waiting to load, she reversed into the rail and scared herself, jumping forwards and losing her rider. She ran back to the mounting yard without injuring herself but she did lose a shoe so was unable to do the jumpout.

She has been trackworking well since Tuesday and will gallop on Saturday morning. We will take her back to the jumpouts on the 12th of February.

Living Doll

Living Doll recovered from her victory on Monday with a trip to the river the next morning (photo above). Despite the heat this week, she has bounced back very well and is a very tough mare.

She is planning to race again at Kembla Grange on the 9th of February.

Georgian Court

Georgian Court had an easy week following her run at Moruya on Monday. She went to the river, on a trail ride and did some cantering. She is aiming to race again next weekend at Sapphire Coast.

Lincoln Cash Man, Ollie the Third

Ollie the Third galloped this morning on the course proper (video above). He has such a long stride, he can be deceiving to watch and is often going faster than he looks. He will be nominated for Sapphire Coast on the 3rd of February.

Ollie has slotted back into our stable very well and really enjoys living in his yard, annoying his neighbour all day by stealing his fly mask repeatedly.

Lincoln Cash Man also galloped this morning with The Amazing Tahlia (video below – Lincoln is on the inside).

They worked over 1000m in the following sectionals:

14.00, 15.79, 14.30, 11.72, 11.76

Lincoln worked quite well but could have travelled in to the bit harder. He will be nominated for Sapphire Coast on the 2nd of February and he will have another gallop on Tuesday.

Sarzana

Sarzana has come through her maiden victory brilliantly. She is eating better than ever and let out a big squeal as she walked onto the track this morning.

She had an easy week cantering and at the river (photo below following Resort).

She is aiming to race again at Sapphire Coast next weekend.
