Rhythmboat

Rhythmboat had his second jumpout for the prep this morning. His rider is wearing yellow with black cap in the video above. He finished off great and recovered very well when he pulled up. He will look to start racing at either Canberra on the 19th, Nowra on the 21st or Wagga on the 25th.

Rhythmboat is accepted at Sapphire Coast tomorrow but has drawn a wide barrier. It can be very difficult coming from back in the field on a wet Sapphire track, especially in the last race of the day, so we plan to scratch him and take him to Gundagai on Sunday instead. At Gundagai, he has a good barrier, the track is dry, Shaun Guymer is able to ride (who has ridden him before) and the field looks slightly easier. The track at Gundagai is an awkward shape but we believe of the two options, it is the preferred choice. His video update is above.

Rhythmboat had his first jumpout for our stable this morning. His rider is wearing blue in the video above. He settled nicely and worked home well to win his heat. He was confident around the other horses but was still a bit green and unbalanced when he hit the wetter ground in the straight. He will need to be held together a bit as he starts to sprint in his races. He will aim to have his first start for our stable at either Sapphire Coast on the 3rd of March or at Nowra on the 6th in a 1200m Maiden.
