Sifu is planning to have a jumpout on Tuesday next week. She missed a couple of pace work days over the past two weeks because the bush fire smoke was too thick but she has been keen and working strong so an easy jumpout should be no problem for her. We are aiming to barrier trial her at Moruya on the 22nd if she comes through her jumpout well. She is the outside horse in the video above doing 3/4 pace work.
Sifu is coming along very well and will start 3/4 pace on the grass on Tuesday. She is keen to work and has been getting some variety to her week by trail riding through the bush.
We are planning to jump her out on the 10th of December. The video above is her coming off the track on Saturday morning after doing 1/2 pace 1000m.
Sifu is back at the stables and she has really done well during her short break in the paddock. We turned her out after her jumpout to give her mind a break but she has filled out and matured in her body as well.
She has resumed cantering (video above) and after only three weeks in the paddock, she will be able to build up to a trial quite quickly.
“Opal” had her first Moruya jumpout this morning. She loaded into the gates perfectly and stood up well. She was a little slow away but that will only take a couple more practices to get up to speed. She travelled very nicely throughout and finished off strong.
All her gallops since arriving have been good and today she performed with the added pressure of jumping out of the barriers. She is a very nice filly and should be ready for a trial later this month.
