Times Change has come through her jumpout great. She is eating everything, which has been a difficulty for her in the past. She will step it up to an official barrier trial on Wednesday morning at Kembla Grange. It will be a big day out for her, travelling and experiencing a more serious race day environment.
Times Change had a very good performance at the jumpouts this morning at Moruya (pink colours, blue cap in video above). She hesitated momentarily going into the barriers but she waited quietly and jumped very fast. She travelled nicely, took a moment to balance around the turn and then finished off great in the straight.
We will see how she is over the next couple of days but she should be able to go to her first barrier trial off today’s performance.
Times Change continues to do well this prep, eating up and building her education on the track. She had a solid gallop with two mates on Saturday where she travelled confidently between the other two horses. She is having a jumpout tomorrow morning and the video will be posted around lunchtime.

Our three young fillies are all back in work and started half pace this week. In the video above Times Change has the rider with the blue cap with white pom pom, Cosmic Barb has the black striped cap and Real Salty has the blue and white cap.
Cosmic Barb missed a couple of days early in the week with a foot abscess (following all the rain we have had) but she caught up no problem and is progressing great.
All three girls have returned this prep much more focused and mature. They are building up their pace work and will be on the grass track next week.
Times Change had her first jumpout this morning (video above). She looked to the side just as the barriers opened so she was a little bit slow away compared to how she has been jumping in her barrier practice. He rider let her balance up around the corner and then she started to run down the leaders and she made up good ground in the straight.
She will go to the paddock for four to six weeks. She has done very well this prep, growing physically and mentally.
Times Change has shown excellent progress this week. She improved significantly in her practice jumpout today. It was only her second time jumping out of the gates this prep and she jumped with the other horses and galloped up 400m very well. She was also much calmer when waiting in the barriers this week. She is furthest from the camera in the video below.
We are aiming to keep her in training for another fortnight to go to the jumpouts on the 6th of November. If she continues to handle the training well, it will be great experience for her to get an 800m jumpout done this prep.
She loves going for a relaxing trot on the bush track. It is a good way to break up her week and give her a rest from trackwork. She is following in the video below.

Times Change is coming along well after her minor setback with a cold. She has resumed pace work and had a practice jumpout of the barrier this morning. She is on the far left in the video below, furthest from the camera. She was the slowest out of the gates but the two other young horses, in the middle two gates, both had a practice jump last week which she missed out on because she was sick. She was very good in the barriers and will jump faster next week when she has another practice.

Times Change arrived at the stables last week. This is her first prep after being broken in and she had already done a 4 week refresher with her breaker. She will do a few weeks with us and then head back to the paddock. The video below is her cantering last week.
She has settled into our stables very well and is going around the track great. She is quiet to ride and handle and is sensible to work with. We have started pace work to give her a little taste before she goes for a break.
The video below is her 3/4 pace this morning, she is the chestnut on the outside on the track.
