Hoystryke had her second jumpout for the prep at Moruya this morning (video above). Over the 800m, she doesn’t muster very quickly and she found herself out the back, some distance off the other runners on the turn. She has a good turn of foot and she was able to pick them up in the straight, finishing in 2nd place.
Her best results have been when she is ridden completely cold in the early stages, like she was today, and hustling her early doesn’t seem to suit her. She had a good blow after the jumpout and will be fitter now as she heads towards the races at Moruya on the 4th of January.
