Blackhill Kitty had her second jumpout at Moruya this morning (video above). She finished off great to win the heat in the equal fastest 800m of the day. She wanted to lay in a bit when she got to the front but she straightened quickly when corrected.
She pulled up good from the gallop and we plan to take her to Kembla Grange next Wednesday (9th of June) to get her trialled.
Blackhill Kitty is having her second jumpout for the prep at Moruya on Wednesday. She has been a bit uncomfortable on the wet track lately at trackwork so depending on how she performs on Wednesday, we may look at trialling her on the synthetic Acton track at Canberra on the 18th of June. The Acton track is the only non-turf track in NSW and they race fortnightly through Winter so if she prefers that surface to the softer turf tracks, that may be the best option for her throughout Winter.
Blackhill Kitty had her first jumpout for the prep at Moruya this morning (her rider is wearing yellow in the video above). She jumped quickly and was travelling strong to the turn. She was on the wettest part of the track in the straight, which her rider reported she didn’t like at all, and just tired in the closing stages. She was blowing hard when she pulled up but she did pull quite hard in the first half of the heat.
She needs to be barrier trialled before she can race again so we will see how she is this week and either trial her at Sapphire Coast on the 1st of June or if she needs a second jumpout, she will jumpout on the 2nd of June.

Blackhill Kitty has been doing everything right at trackwork and has been nominated to race this weekend at Bega. She has been working on being more settled in her trackwork and she is now much more relaxed when she is asked to sit behind another horse. We have her nominated both days of the two day carnival and will pick the best race for her.
