Chairman's Choice

Chairman’s Choice has recovered well from his race after an easy week. He is back galloping this week in preparation for the Forbes Cup. The video below is his gallop on Tuesday.

Chairman's Choice

Chairman’s Choice has done a couple of easy canter morning since his Rosehill race. We are looking towards the Forbes Cup on the 3rd of August for his next race start. This will give him a good amount of time to recover from his tough run last week.

Chairman's Choice

Chairman’s Choice has come through his jumpout great and he is feeling and working really well. He is nominated for the Highway Handicap this week.

The video below is him walking this afternoon. He will have a sprint up tomorrow morning.

Chairman's Choice

Chairman’s Choice had a strong jumpout this morning. He didn’t wear his blinker as we will save them for raceday but he still settled good and finished off strong. He is on track for the Highway at Rosehill on the 11th.

800m – 48.09, last 600m – 34.53

Chairman's Choice

Chairman’s Choice has settled back in and has been working very strong at trackwork. He is full of attitude since he got back. We are planning on jumping him out on the 1st of July as we head towards the Highway Handicap on the 11th at Rosehill.

The video below is his pace work this morning. He had his winter coat clipped off last week and he looks great.

Chairman's Choice

Chairman’s Choice is loving his break in the paddock. He’s been leaping and zooming around each time we pull up to feed him.

Chairman's Choice

Chairman’s Choice is racing at Moruya on Thursday in Race 6 at 3:45pm (BM58 1300m). Shaun Guymer is riding him from barrier 7 carrying 61kg.

He has come through the past week very well since his win and we think he is a good top three chance in this field.

He had a gallop with Instruments on Monday and a river recovery day this morning (video above). He is very fresh after doing very little since his Bega run.

Chairman's Choice

Chairman’s Choice had a solid gallop with Sifu at the end of last week (video above). He is nominated for Sapphire Coast on Sunday. We have put the blinkers back on and dropped him back to 1400m.

Chairman's Choice

Chairman’s Choice is entered to race on Saturday 1st of February at Sapphire Coast in the BM58 over 1200m (Race 6 at 4:46pm). He has drawn barrier 11 and Shaun Guymer has been booked to ride with 60kg.

There are extreme weather conditions, including bush fire risk, forecast for Sapphire Coast on Saturday so if the conditions are not suitable, he can race at Canberra next Friday (7th of February).

We were very pleased with his recent jumpout and want to place him where the conditions allow him to run well. His jumpout video from last week is below:

Chairman's Choice

Chairman’s Choice had his first gallop this morning since the bushfires interrupted his preparation (video above). We are planning on jumping him out on Thursday morning before deciding how soon he will race. There are options at Bega at the beginning of February and Canberra the following week.

Chairman's Choice

Chairman’s Choice finished off very well in his jumpout this morning at Moruya (video above).

We were aiming to start him at Moruya on the 6th of January but we think he needs a bit more galloping so we will start him first up at Nowra in the Class 2 1400m on the 12th of January.

Chairman's Choice

Chairman’s Choice had his first gallop of the prep this morning (included in the video above). He just coasted working on his own but it was a good first hit out. He will start galloping with a mate as he gets closer to racing.

He is still on track to have a jumpout on Christmas Eve at Moruya. He is holding good condition and his attitude has been great since his spell.
