Dragon’s Breath

Boomahnoomoonah, Dragon's Breath

Boomahnoomoonah and Dragons Breath have been progressing through their pace work very well. They are both aiming to jumpout on the 6th of November. The video above is their 3/4 pace on Tuesday.

Dragon's Breath

Dragons Breath is working his way up through his pace work, building his fitness. He is doing the 3/4 pace easily and we plan to have him jumping out on the 6th of November. His winter coat is dropping and he should be looking much better in no time.

Dragon's Breath

Dragon’s Breath made his way back to the stables last week via quarantine from Victoria. He has done some pre-training and is fit enough to start pace work towards the end of the week. He has slotted straight back into the stables. Click below for video update.

Dragon's Breath

Dragon’s Breath had a really pleasing jumpout at Moruya this morning. He was quick out of the gates and he galloped strong to the line, winning his heat. The video is below, he is sitting on the outside of the leading group..

He is ready to go to the barrier trials now to be passed to race. Depending on how he recovers from today’s jumpout, he will trial at either Goulburn on the 12th or Canberra on the 19th.

We are really happy with the progress Dragon’s Breath has made this prep.

Dragon's Breath

Dragon’s Breath had a practice jump out of the barriers on Saturday morning and he did a great job. He really got on the bit and his rider had a task pulling him up. He has been more switched on in his gallops too so we are looking forward to jumping him out on Thursday morning this week.

Dragon's Breath

Dragon’s Breath has stepped up to 3/4 pace work. He is on the inside in the video above. He is very quiet and relaxed so it was great to see him put his ears back and get competitive with his mate during the fast work this morning.

We are aiming to jump him out on the 3rd of June.

Dragon's Breath

Dragon’s Breath is back at the stables and has slotted back into trackwork well. He is cantering each morning this week (video above) to regain his fitness. After such a short break in the paddock, he will be able to step up to some pace work late next week.

Dragon’s Breath stepped up his pace work this week and is now doing 3/4 pace on the grass track with a mate on fast work mornings. He has very good manners and follows instructions well. He doesn’t shift around and he can travel a nice straight path around the track but he is very green and is not sure what he is doing. He will need some time to learn to pick up the bit and work hard towards the finish line but at this early stage in his career, he is doing well. When he is travelling at 3/4 pace he has a very nice action and he feels like he just needs more practice to put it all together.

Dragon's Breath

Dragon’s Breath continues to improve and is stepping up his pacework. He is lovely and quiet but when he is asked to quicken, he switches on and he has a good action at speed. He really enjoys his trail ride on his day off from trackwork (video above).

Dragon's Breath

We recently welcomed the lovely Sepoy two year old gelding named Dragon’s Breath and he has settled in great. He is very quiet and sensible but he is sparking up a bit more each time he goes to the track and is travelling much more forward in only a week of trackwork. The video above is him cantering on Wednesday morning, he is on the inside.
