Legislation had his first trip to the river this morning (following in the video above). He walked straight into the water and was very professional. The river is a great tool for the horses’ recovery after gallops and racing and to give them a break from trackwork.
Legislation has completed a week of cantering since returning from the paddock. He did receive a kick to his front leg from one of our other horses during the bushfire evacuation but it is healing well and he is sound. He will spend the next few weeks building up his fitness before he starts pace work. The video above is from this morning before he headed out to the track.
Legislation is back at the stables and he looks well rested after his break in the paddock. He had his new shoes fitted this morning and he is ready to get back to work tomorrow.
Legislation is entered to race at Kembla Grange on Saturday (Race 4 at 2:49pm). He has barrier 2 and Jess Taylor is booked to ride.
He had his final gallop on Tuesday morning (on the outside in the video above). We worked him with a mate and he travelled strong to the line.
He is feeling very well heading into Saturday’s race and we think he is a good top three chance.
Legislation had a good gallop on Thursday morning (video above) as he prepares for the races at Kembla Grange next weekend (16th of November). He has been a bit sore through his wither but the physio visited him yesterday and he was much better this morning.
Legislation had a minor setback with a foot abscess putting him out of action for a couple of days at the end of last week. He is back on the track each morning this week and will do some pace work tomorrow morning. He will not be ready to race next week but instead will aim to run at Kembla Grange on the 16th of November.
We welcomed our new horse Legislation to the stables this week. He has settled in great and a video of his first day on the track is above. He has been in full work so he should be ready to go racing in only a few weeks. There are still places available in his ownership, please email email@example.com if interested.
