Horse Updates

Airfree is back in work at the track. She is her usual fiery self and is working and eating very well. She will do another two weeks of cantering before she starts fast work (video above).

Minnie Malachi

Minnie Malachi has started pace work this week and is going well (video above). She will continue to build up her fitness and should be ready for a jumpout in mid June.

Pinch River

Pinch River has pulled up okay from his disappointing run at Hawkesbury.

He went to the river on Wednesday morning and will spend the rest of the week trail riding and at the river.

We are aiming to jump him out on Tuesday and then head towards Randwick on the 25th.

Pauper has come through his race at Wagga last week very well. He did some 3/4 pace this morning (video above).

We have nominated him for the 1200m Maiden at Kembla Grange on Tuesday 14th May.

Minnie Malachi

Minnie Malachi has started her fourth week of slow work and is coming along well. She will be ready to start some pace work next week. She is much more professional in her attitude this preparation and she has been sound and happy since resuming work.

Pauper has been working well in the lead up to the $40K Country Maiden at Wagga on Friday. There are 26 horses nominated but we believe he should have no trouble making the field. The field will be published on Tuesday morning.

Pulla Swifty

Pulla Swifty will step up to 1600m when she races at Sapphire Coast on Sunday. She has been working well since her last start and we think the step up in distance will suit. Nominations will be released on Tuesday morning.

Resort has come through his run at Wagga very well and is working great in the lead up to the Wagga Gold Cup on Friday. There were a lot of nominations so we have put him in a BM70 2100m at Warwick Farm on Wednesday as a back up plan on the off chance he doesn’t make the field on Friday. We have every expectation he will take his place in the Wagga Cup field and will know for sure on Tuesday morning.

Joan Constance

Joan Constance had her last hit out on Tuesday morning before she races again (click above for video).

Pauper, Resort

Resort and Pauper galloped together on Tuesday morning (click above for video).

They worked from the 1000m mark in the following sectionals:

15.15, 14.53, 14.16, 11.37, 11.54

Duck Gold, Pinch Passion

Pinch Passion and Duck Gold had a short hit out on Tuesday morning on the B grass, working from the 800m mark (click above for video).

Malachi Crunch

Malachi Crunch had an easy gallop on his own on Tuesday morning (click above for video). He worked from the 1000m mark in the following sectionals:

16.82, 14.87, 13.49, 12.95, 12.29

Dream Fields, Heavenly Thunder

On Tuesday morning Dream Fields had his first gallop at Moruya, working with Heavenly Thunder on the B grass (click above for video onboard Dream Fields).

They worked from the 1000m mark in the following sectionals:

16.47, 14.46, 14.24, 11.78, 11.66

Dream Fields

Our latest addition, Dream Fields, has settled in great this past week. He eased into trackwork with a few canter mornings and then did some 3/4 pace on Saturday (click above for video).

He was in full work with David Payne prior to his arrival in Moruya so he is ready to race straight away. We are planning on starting him at Moruya on the 9th of April.

Heavenly Thunder

Heavenly Thunder was scratched from Nowra on Sunday due to the Heavy track. She had a gallop on Wednesday (click above for video) in preparation for Nowra and she has been working well. She also had her first trail ride this past week (click below for video) and we think getting away from the track will help her going forward this prep.

Jeddah Aheadah

Jeddah Aheadah had a good performance at Bega on Friday, picking up 3rd in her first start for our stable. She was very slow to muster and took a while to find a run in the straight but she still ran well. She is ready to step up in distance and we have learned a few things about her from this start that we can put to use going forward.

Joan Constance

Joan Constance has come through her average performance at Kembla Grange fine and has trained on well. She is nominated to race at Canberra on Friday.

Malachi Crunch

Malachi Crunch is back at the stables after a short 10 days in the paddock. He managed to stack on the weight around his belly even though he was only on the grass for such a short time. He did some 3/4 pace on Saturday and he felt fit and fresh so it shouldn’t take too long to strip off the extra kilos.

He is aiming to race at his favourite track, Moruya, on April 9th.

Millijule is ticking along well after her jumpout. She has plenty of energy and is moving very well now. She continues to aim to resume racing on the 9th of April at Moruya.
