Horse Updates

Malachi Crunch

Malachi Crunch has hit the lead in the chase for the Moruya Jockey Club Horse of the Year with his victory on Monday.

We love this photo from Bradley Photographers of Archie with his amazing owner Melissa returning to the yard after his win.

Robbie Brewer is riding an incredible strike rate for our stable at the moment and the last four times he has worn the pink Electrick Bloodstock colours he has cross the line in 1st place, an unbelievable achievement.

Sarzana has recovered well after her race at Moruya on Monday. She ran a really good race and we are confident she will break her maiden very soon. She took a couple of days of easy work to fully eat up but she is back to herself now and ready to tackle the 1200m Maiden at Moruya on the 21st of January.

Living Doll

Living Doll is preparing to race again at Moruya on the 21st of January in the BM58 over 1010m.

Her hard fought 2nd place at Sapphire Coast at the beginning of the month was her 10th top 3 finish out of the 13 races she has run since joining our stable just under a year ago. She is incredibly consistent and has amassed $44K in prize money this last 12 months.

Georgian Court

Georgian Court had a super gallop on Thursday morning (video above) in preparation for the races at Nowra on Monday. It has been raining and the softer track really suits her as can be seen in her beautiful action in her track gallop.

She has drawn an inside gate at Nowra and it is a Heavy 8 at the moment so we think she should perform well.

Duck Gold

Duck Gold returned to the stables this week and has done a couple of days of slow work. She has grown so much over the last six months and is really turning into a nice horse.

She will be aiming to do her barrier trial this prep and possibly have her first race start.

Belle Tournure

Belle Tournure has gone to the paddock for a week after her unbelievable performance in the Moruya Cup on Monday. We couldn’t be prouder of Belle’s effort in the Cup and we are now going to map a path to the Country Championships heat.

The beautiful photo below from Bradley Photographers¬†shows Belle’s gutsy attempt to fend off the eventual winner on her outside.

Airfree has pulled up very well from her race at Moruya on Monday. We were delighted with how she finished off with such good late acceleration. The best news is she recovered very quickly afterwards and looks to be fully over the heart arrhythmia that halted her preparation at Goulburn last year.

She will aim to race again in the Class 2 1200m at Moruya on Narooma Cup Day 21st of January. She has been doing some easy trackwork and trail rides (video above) this week.

This great photo from Bradley Photographers (above) shows her determination and how close she came to running down “The Crunch”.

Airfree had a good hit out with Resort this morning up the home straight (video above). They worked the last two furlongs in:

12.43, 11.43

She will be taking on the BM58 over 1200m on Monday at Moruya.

Malachi Crunch

Malachi Crunch is ready for the races on Monday after his sprint up this morning with Sarzana (video above). They ran up the last two furlongs in:

11.23, 10.86

He will be racing against stablemate Airfree, who he enjoyed a trail ride with earlier in the week (video below).

Sarzana had her final sprint up this morning before she races at Moruya on Monday in the $40K Maiden. She worked with Malachi Crunch and they ran up the last two furlongs in:

11.23, 10.86

Sarzana has been having a pretty easy time since her last start, just ticking over in the summer heat, including a trail ride with Resort earlier in the week (video below).

Belle Tournure

Belle Tournure is ready for her big day in the Moruya Cup on Monday. She has come through her win the Christmas Cup brilliantly and she always gives it her best so we are looking forward to an exciting race.

Georgian Court

Smiles all round at Sapphire Coast where Georgian Court won the Class 1 over 1608m.

Thanks for the great pictures Bradley Photos!

Pulla Swifty

We had planned to race Pulla Swifty on Monday at Moruya but unfortunately, she has gone off her food and is not 100% so we have elected to spell her. She will have a six week break in the paddock before returning to work.

Resort worked very well today in his last sprint up before Moruya races (video above). He is dropping back in distance so we have been freshening him up and sharpening up his work. He galloped with Airfree and they ran up the last two furlongs in:

12.43, 11.43

He has started trail riding on the bush track once a week and just like most of our horses, he has quickly become obsessed with it and wants to do it every day now instead of trackwork. He led the way on a trail ride with Sarzana on Wednesday (video below).
