Horse Updates

Sarzana has been working well since her race at Nowra and she had a good sprint up on Tuesday morning, galloping up the straight in:

12.36, 11.82

She is entered to race at Sapphire Coast on Friday and should be a good chance in the Class 1 over 1600m.

Resort has been entered to race at Rosehill on Wednesday following a very good track gallop on Saturday (video above).

The track at Wagga on Friday is likely to be very firm so we decided to go to Rosehill instead. We were initially concerned about the 2400m but we think if he has an easier first 400m of the race than he did at Randwick, he should be able to run out the distance.

Jeddah Aheadah, Joan Constance

Joan Constance is coming along really well and is ready to have a jumpout tomorrow. Her gallop video from Saturday is above. She has been eating everything and holding her weight excellently.

Jeddah Aheadah has started pacework and is doing it easily (video below). She is such a lovely, professional girl and she has also been eating well.

Pulla Swifty

Pulla Swifty has been back at the stables for two weeks of slow work. She has been working around well with a friend and should be ready to start some pace work next week.

Living Doll

Living Doll had another good performance at Nowra last week to finish 3rd. She has gone to the paddock for a rest and will return to training in month.

Pauper has started pacework on the grass track (video above). He feels like he is just cantering when he is going 3/4 pace and does the work easily. He is a bit goofy and needs to improve his concentration but he is coming along well. We are aiming to have him ready for a jumpout in two weeks.

Pinch Passion, Pinch River

Pinch River is ready to start some pace work this week. He had a year off from the track so we have taken it a bit easy in his pre-training but he has been coping very well and it is time to step up to some faster work.

Last week Pinch Passion arrived at the stables from Queensland. He was initially quite tired from his long journey but he has settled in very well and is is lovely to ride. He has been up racing, so he should be ready to have his first start for our stable in only a couple of weeks.

Georgian Court

Georgian Court had some stiffness in her shoulder following her big weekend to Randwick so we have decided to turn her out for a short spell.

Duck Gold

Duck Gold has done two track gallops this time in and she is working very well. She was due to jumpout on Tuesday but she had a bad reaction to some insect bites last week so we will delay her jumpout a fortnight to the 12th of March.

Millijule has now done three weeks of cantering and she is ready to start pace work this week. She has been a bit tight through her chest but she had a visit from the physio last week and has been improving with regular stretching exercises.

Minnie Malachi

Minnie Malachi has been in the paddock for a week and is starting to move around a bit better. After going shin sore in her first jumpout, she has been a bit lame but she is on the improve.

Sarzana is racing today at Nowra. She was entered to run at Canberra on Friday but we elected to run today in what looks to be an easier field, even though she has a wide gate.

She had a nice sprint up on Friday (video above) and her work has been very good since her last race three weeks ago.

Malachi Crunch

Malachi Crunch is racing today at Nowra. He will be ridden by Pat Scorse to take 1.5kg off his high weight. He had a solid sprint up with Lincoln Cash Man on Friday (video above) and should perform well today.

Minnie Malachi, Molosso Mimosso

Moruya Jumpouts 12/02/19

Minnie Malachi & Molosso Mimosso went to the jumpouts at Moruya this morning.

Molosso Mimosso was significantly improved from her last jumpout a fortnight ago. She jumped with the other runners and worked well to the line. She will go to the barrier trials at Canberra on the 22nd to be passed to start racing in NSW. Molosso wore a tongue tie today and it will stay on for the trial.

Minnie Malachi had her first ever jumpout and she did very well. She was ridden by Pat Scorse and he was surprised it was her first time because she jumped with the field, was very balanced and sprinted well to the finish, just getting a bit tired at the very end.

Assuming she recovers well from today, Minnie Malachi with have a second jumpout in a fortnight.

Resort had a solid gallop this morning on the course proper, working home the last 400m in 22.35 seconds.

He has been nominated to race at Royal Randwick on Saturday over 2400m.

Living Doll

Unfortunately, the track was too wet to race Living Doll at Kembla on Saturday so we will nominate her for Nowra on Sunday the 17th of February.
